Refund and Return Policy

We at ILC sell thousands of language products every year and try our best to insure that all our customers are happy with their purchases. We sell the highest available quality products and services, and we have used and tested almost all of the products that we sell. However, we understand that it is not possible that all our customers will be satisfied with all their purchases. We have outlined below our return and refund policy.

Return of Products

General Return Policy

No matter what the return issue is, you must call ILC customer service, at (206) 708-6948, between 9 - 5 PM PST before any returns will be honored. You must, prior to sending the product, receive the proper authorization on all returns. At that time you will receive shipping instructions including the proper carrier to use, the carrier's phone number, and a special RMA code to put on the package. We at ILC use only guaranteed delivery services. Our default carrier is UPS but after our discussion with you another carrier like DHL or Federal Express could be used.

We will request an e-mail stating why the product is being returned. The email must explicitly state what the problem with the returned item was, and which ones were defective if more than one item is contained in the product.

It is our policy that most of the time we will not refund you for purchases made. Most of the time we will give you an in store credit and in some cases it will require a 20% re-stocking fee. For all the other cases that are actually exceptions to this policy, these cases have been clearly stated below.

Returns for Credit

Manufacturers’ Defects
Any item found to have a manufacturing defect will be replaced at no charge, shipping or otherwise, to our customers for up to 15 days after delivery.

Returns of Books
Books can be returned, at your own shipping expense, for in-store credit within 15 days provided that they are in pristine condition.

Please write the RMA code obtained as specified above on the address label of the packaging. There will be a 20% re-stocking and handling fee on all these returned products.

Returns of Tapes, Videos, and CD Courses
Tapes, videos, and CD courses cannot be returned once opened. If these products have not been opened, they can be returned for in-store credit only within 15 days provided that they are in their original condition.

Please write the RMA code obtained as specified above on the address label of the packaging. There will be a 20% re-stocking and handling fee on all these returned products.

Returns of Software
Software can only be returned for the two manufacturers stated below. For those manufacturers we will only be able to give you in-store credit within 15 days of ordering the product provided that it is in pristine condition.

Please write the RMA code obtained as specified above on the address label of the packaging. There will be a 20% re-stocking and handling fee on all these returned products.

All other software cannot be returned!

Returns for Refunds

General Refund Policy
We cannot offer refunds on any purchase except as stated below. All refunds will be subject to a 20% re-stocking and handling fee.

Shipping charges are not refundable unless ILC has shipped in error. If we ship you the wrong item we will place a call tag on that item and return it at our expense.

Refunds for Books
We cannot offer refunds on books. Books can be returned for in-store credit only. They must be in original condition. They must be returned within 15 days of purchase. Please remember to write the RMA code obtained as specified above on the address label of the packaging.

Refunds for Tapes, Videos, and CD Courses We cannot offer refunds on tapes, videos, and CD courses. Tapes, videos, and CD courses can be returned for in-store credit, but only if un-opened and in original condition. They must be returned within 15 days of purchase. Please remember to write the RMA code obtained as specified above on the address label of the packaging.

Refunds for Software
Software cannot be returned after it has been opened, unless defective. This is in compliance with international regulations. See the user license for details.

Guaranteed Software
Some software manufacturers offer a 30-day refund guarantee. These refunds are normally obtained directly from the manufacturer. These manufacturers are:

REMEMBER: If you return software to us, you will be assessed a 20% re-stocking fee.
