Wirtschafts-Kommunikation Deutsch
Designed for learners above the "Zertifikat Deutsch" (advanced) level, this 15-chapter course covers the language and protocol of German business. It lays emphasis on potential cultural trouble spots in business communication, both verbal and nonverbal, shows how to avoid them, and teaches strategies for achieving success. The videos are taken from actual corporate training videos currently in use in German-speaking countries. They are used to illustrate new material, and to give learners the all-important experience of viewing business discussions and discussing them. Level 2 concentrates on such topics as employee training, sales and marketing strategies, product development, advanced trade-show planning, corporation logistics, and trend management. The audio cassettes or CDs accompany the text, and are unscripted, requiring various responses from the learner, such as taking notes, proving comprehension, or reacting to the situations presented. The series was created by the Goethe Institute, the Deutsche Industrie- und Handelstag, and Langenscheidt, as the ideal, two-level preparation for the new Prüfung Wirtschafts-Deutsch international. Entirely in German; no English on videos, on audios, or in printed materials.
